There comes a time later in the careers of many "pop stars" when their audiences come to be largely comprised of their fans of longest-standing ...

And, inevitably, some of these fans and followers- as if deserving of reward for their loyality over the years or, maybe, overwhelmed by nostalgia or, maybe, compelled by a false, cultish sense of familiarity- begin to simply ignore the usual concertgoer decorum and to feel emboldened to just rudely scream out "requests" throughout the shows...

GOP Senate Candidate and yellow-toothed chaw enthusiast G. Felix Allen, running pants-afire from the indiscretions of his "rebel years", dropped his latest fund-raising letter on Virginia voters today.

One key ellipsis-rich paragraph strikes me as particularly ironic:

["Your gift will send a loud, clear message to the liberal Democrats across the nation...to Jane Fonda, Howard Dean and to the Clinton political machine...that you stand behind me." ]
